Chowdry's younger son Jeeva is a lucky man to receive
the blessings of so many eminent people including Kamal,
at the inaugural pooja function of film 'E' today.
Produced by Super Good Films R B Chowdry, directed by 'Iyarkai'
Jananathan, Jeeva has a different kind of role in 'E.'
Chowdry who usually makes his pooja functions simple,
decided to make an exception for his dear son. Not only
did the invitation weigh almost a kilo, the sets were
made on a grand scale too for the inauguration. The
function took place at the AVM a/c floor. Kamalahasan
lit the lamp and inaugurated the film. This was followed
by Ajith-Vijay jointly lighting the lamp. Super Good's
usual hero Sarath, heroine Nayantara, Silambarasan,
Parthiban and other stars, blessed Jeeva.
Jeeva was the picture of happiness as Kamal spoke. "Chowdry
sir has lit the lamp in the lives of so many. I feel
privileged that I should light the lamp for inaugurating
his film. Jeeva started his artistic journey as a child
star. He should make a mark as a mature star."
Sarath Kumar blessed Jeeva by saying, "Jeeva acted as my
grandson in 'Suryavamsam' and he is a hero today. Having
proved his acting abilities even as a child, I believe
he will become a famous star like Kamal one day."
To go with the film title, director S P Muthuraman
spouted the Thirukkural "E dhal isaipada vaazhdhal' when
he conveyed his blessings.
K S Ravikumar conducted the proceedings in a spirited
fashion. He invited Prakashraj to the dais by saying, "I
love you, da," and in response, Prakashraj took the mike
and said, "Nanri da, Chellam" and the audience burst
into laughter.
Jeeva garlanded all those who spoke and blessed him, and
Chowdry concluded the function by thanking all present.

Three important films had their launch today morning
(Sep 15), as it was an auspicious day. The first off the
block was Radaan Media Works Thalaimagan the 100th film
of Sarath Kumar. The function started on the dot at 9 am
at Hotel Le Meridian auditorium with Avigna dancers
doing two dance items.
It was followed by a short and sweet speech made by
Radhika Sarath Kumar in which she said that the success
of her Radaan was “team work” and they hope that the
same team work would prevail over the shoot of
Thalaimagan. A curtain raiser to Thalaimagan was
screened and it looked really slick and crisp.
Sarath plays an investigative journalist in the film and
the entire team of the film including director Balaji
came on stage along with the lead cast Sarath, Nayantara,
Prakash Raj, Vadivel and Karthik who plays a cameo in
the film.
Later everybody made a dash to AVM studio where three
launches took place. Ajit’s Tirupati, Jeeva’s E and
newcomers Oru Ponnu Oru Payyan. It was totally chaotic
with huge traffic jam outside and people had to sweat it
out for some time and find parking space.
Kamal Hassan was the chief guest at E launch at AVM a/c
floor. Nayantara is Jeeva’s heroine and the film is
directed by Jaganathan. Sarath Kumar came rushing from
his launch to wish his muthalali (boss) R.B.Chowdary’s
film all the best.
At the adjoining floor, Ajit and his chief guest Vijay
hugged each other as director Perarasu was all smiles.
Said Vijay with a big smile: “There are a lot of stories
about our famous hostility but there is nothing in it.
We are good friends and Pearasu who has directed two of
my films is directing Ajt this time’.
And away from all the big stars and their movies an
unknown director Naran Devanayakan launched his new film
Oru Ponnu Oru Payyan with newcomers and no fanfare.
