Ajith-Vijay sensational meeting at 'Thirupati' pooja - 15/09/2005

Say it will happen and it won't. Say it won't happen, and it will. The 2nd half of that saying has come true. The contenders for the superstar mantle, Ultimate Star Ajith and Ilaya Dalapathy Vijay, hugged and greeted each other affectionately at the 'Thirupati' pooja.
Ajith has been lying low till now. With AVM's 'Thirupati' he's back in form. The film started off with a song picturised in the 3rd level of AVM Studios, this morning. A curly haired Ajith had a blue shirt on and a pair of sunglasses. He was accompanied by his wife Shalini.
Producer AVM Saravanan welcomed them and the pooja started formally in the presence of a framed photograph of AVM Meyappa Chettiar.

After the pooja, director Perarasu shot a scene. There was a sudden flurry of movement and who should drop in but Ilaya Dalapathy Vijay! He hugged and shook hands with Ajith as the gathering looked on in approval. As the photographers crowded in to catch the moment, the 2 of them put their arms on each other's shoulders and posed for them.
After Vijay took leave, the film unit came outside to the dais. Near Ajith were heroine Sada and wife Shalini and cameras worked like crazy. The fans surrounding the area burst into excited chatter. Ajith showed them the thumbs up sign and went back inside.

There was a jeep and bike nearby with sound equipment and 'Dala' got on to it and gave different poses. We begged the director to at least give us a hint of the story. "Named Thirupati, Ajith runs a sound service centre. The film is a mix of love, sentiment, friendship and valor," he responded briefly.

TV and newspaper media chased Ajith, but the man did not open his mouth!

Three muhurats in one day - 14/09/2005

Tomorrow is a memorable day in the history of Tamil filmdom. Three big movies featuring popular stars and involving famed production houses will go to floors.
It's been a long time since such good things happened in Kollywood.
Sarath Kumar's 100th movie Thalaimagan produced by Radhika Sarath Kumar's
Radaan Movies will go to the floors. The movie features Nayantra opposite Sarath and is directed by a debutant R D Balaji.
The shooting of AVM's 167th film Tirupathi starring Ajith and Sada will commence on the same day
Also hitting the floors on the same day would be R B Choudhary's mega budget
movie E featuring his son Jeeva and actress Nayantra in the cast. The movie
would be directed by Iyarkai fame Jananathan.
Three big films on a single day signals that Kollywood, after days in wilderness, is back to big-time business.

Thirupathi shooting on September 15th

Thirupathi is to commence formally from the 15th of this month with traditional pooja. One song is to be shot that day. Previously news was spread that Nayantara was to pair up with Ajith; later it was decided that Sadha will be the heroine. The shooting is to commence in December at full swing. Perarasu is right now working on Sivaji. This film is to get ready very soon as soon as the post-production schedules are over.
 

Ajith, Sada together for the first time - 13/09/2005

AVM’s next project is Thirupathi with Ajith in the lead. Nayantara was supposed to pair up with him, but the producer and the hero were not too keen to have Nayan. Later, she also refused the role due to clashing dates in her schedule. Still later, she altered her schedules and agreed to pair up with Ajith. But her demand was an amount of 40 lakhs which the producer refused bluntly. Thus it is decided that Sada is to pair up with Ajith in Thirupathi. This is the first time Ajith and Sada are pairing up.
