P. Vasu has directed several films and many of these have been family dramas. His most successful film,
Chinnathambi, is a mushy, sentimental story. He has directed only a few action-oriented films like Walter Vetrivel, Sethupathi IPS, Mannan and Chandramukhi. While this is so, industry watchers say that his forthcoming film with Ajith in the lead, Paramasivan will be a complete action film. Ajith also needs a desperate hit and has vowed to give total attention and dedication to the film. It will be interesting to see the master of sentiment churn out an action flick.

How would it be if lightning comes to ground? The pooja of 'Paramasivam' produced by Bala, directed by P Vasu and starring Ajith, was like that.
The pooja of 'Paramasivam' took place formally at a prominent hotel in T Nagar. Since 'Naan Kadavul' is being delayed, Bala is producing this film on behalf of his P Studio. The director is the hottest director of today - P Vasu. Hero Ajith came in white shirt, sporting long hair and sunglasses.
Also present was Thanu, supposed to be responsible for this combination of talent.
A devout looking Bala's forehead was smeared with vibuti. His guru Balu Mahendra, and music director Vidyasagar were also present. And who should zoom in wearing a white kurta but?Sivaji!
is aiming to next occupy the superstar chair. The simple function entailed the handing over of the 'Paramasivam' script to Vasu.
When Ajith was asked about the film, he happily avoided answering by pointing towards the director. When Rajini asked Ajith about the secret of his losing weight, Ajith replied in detail.
On coming 15th, the inauguration of 'Tirupati' is to be held on a grand scale at AVM.
'Paramasivam' comes after that. In between will be 'Godfather.' And after the three films is 'Naan Kadavul'!
When Ajith's career is moving at express speed, the presence of Rajini is an added strength!

Ajit is once again taking the gun in P.Vasu directed Paramasivan produced by Samrat Film Corporation. The pooja of the film was held at the Traders Hotel in Chennai at 10.35 am today (September 10). The chief guest was none other than superstar Rajnikanth The guest list included Surya, Karthik, directors Bala, Hari, Saran, Cheran, Balu Mahendra, producers Ramkumar, Thanu, Lakshmi Movie Makers and Vidyasagar who is also the music director of Paramasivan.
According to director P.Vasu: ` “Paramasivan” is the Hindu God with a third eye which symbolizes Ajit’s character in the film . It is a mass masala action movie with Ajit doing action comedy and sentiments. Laila is the heroine”.
P.Vasu, now known as hit maker says that he will give Ajit a new action hero image.
The shooting of Paramasivan starts on Sep 21 in Chennai. This film is slated for release on Januay 26 2006.
