Ajith Celebrates His Birthday
Ajith is one of the leading heroes of Tamil screen.
Ajith, who was introduced in Amaravathi, has come a
long way as an actor. He has been acting in different
get ups and experimenting like Kamal Hassan and has
created a separate empire for him with his latest
movie ‘Citizen’. First May,
the workers day is also the birthday of this star.
Last time when he was celebrating his birthday with
his beloved wife Shalini, his fans troubled him. Hence
this time, just to avoid this situation, he followed
Rajini’s style.
Hence he requested his fans to come to Chennai to
greet him as he would be at outdoors shooting.
Moreover, he advised them to give for charity whatever
is possible for them.
Blood donation & eye donation camps were things to be
done. He delivered an important message to his fans
that they should respect their parents & take good can
of their families.
He had fervently appealed to his fans that for them,
actor Ajith should rank next to their parents only. He

he had stated that he visits Singapore often; there
the roads & streets are maintained very neatly. But in
Chennai there is no place even to throw garbage.

at Rajaji hall, was a gala to Ajith’s fans as they
were served hot biriyanis and drinks.
Sharan to direct Ajith - Richa
A Poornachandra Rao who was out of the scene for a
long time has made a comeback with Vikram-Laila
starrer, has now signed Ajith- Richa for Erumugham
directed by Sharan (Amarkallam and Prasanth's Parthean
Rasithean fame)." Erumugham is a story of a loner's
fight to the top", says Sharan. Music is by Bharadwaj.

Ajith Hospitalised

working on the sets of Poove Ellam Unnvasam was admitted
to a Chennai city hospital for a surgery of his backbone.
He had undergone 9 operations before to correct the
injury that he underwent while he was on a mobike-racing
rider. He has been advised rest for one month.

The twin bungalows for Ajith's film Poovellam Unnvasam
have been the talk of the town. This set erected in
Prasad 70 mm studios by art director Prabhakaran came
about because the director could not locate a twin
bungalow in the same compound. One house has many
antiques and the other has modern artifacts and
computers."It's a story of two friends living in the
same compound and the story is about friendship going on
for generation to generation. This differs from every
film which says about families carrying on traditions
from generations " says Ezhil.Jothika plays the female
lead with Sayaji Shinde, Shivakumar, Nagesh, Kovai Sarla,
B S Raghvan, Sugumari and Vivek are the other artistes.
Cinematography is by Arthur Wilson and music is by
Vidyasagar. Oscar films that produced the silver jubilee
film Vanathepol produces the film.

Das, who hit the top spot with her song Shakalaka Baby
in Muthalvan and her role In Hey Ram, is currently
acting opposite Ajith in Citizen. At the press briefing,
she revealed that she had sung and acted in an album
Meri Jaan which is about Shahjahan dreaming of building
a Black Taj Mahal near the white Taj Mahal that he built
for Mumtaz. She is also acting in Mira Nair's Monsoon
