Wonder what Ajith is up to these days?
Well, his Attagasam (in a double role) directed by Charan is nearing
completion. The movie is slated for release this
Deepavali.
But his Mirratal that was to be directed by Ramana fame Murugadoss has been
shelved.
Now, the actor, who announced quitting racing circuits to concentrate on acting alone will be working with director Selvaraghavan in a movie titled
Kasimedu.
The movie supposedly an action-packed venture would be produced by A M Ratnam of Sri Surya
Movies.
And just on Surya Movies, the production house’s other venture starring Srikanth to be directed by cinematographer K V Anand would be titled either Varunan or Kana
Kandeinadi.
A Tamil title indeed.

The shooting for Saran’s Attagasam has been progressing in and around
Tuticorin old bus stand. The scenes involved the villains chasing a person
through the bus stand and finally killing him brutally. Later its hero Ajith
comes to the scenes in a white dhothi and half sleeve shirt and confronts the
villain which is one of the highlights in the film.
The scenes created a ruckus among the public as they mistook the action to be
real as Tuticorin bus stand has seen similar daylight murders and fights among
local mafia in the past.
According to director Saran: “We tried to make the scenes as authentic as
possible and hence chose this location. These scenes are a major highlight of
the film and Ajith has done some breath taking stunts without a double!”.
Attagasam is shaping out as one of the biggest movies of the year and is due
for Diwali release.

limelight. He has signed four films in a row. Speaking about his comeback move he said "I took time to select the
subjects. I was in no hurry to sign up. Finally now I have zeroed on four
subjects. Girivalam, a remake of Humraaz has me play the Bobby Deol role of the rich husband of the
heroine. Thiru 420 is a story of a bank heist by three
youths. I play one of the three robbers. It has an action- sentiment
mix. In Kicha Vayadhu 16 produced by Ramoji Rao has me in a full length comic hero
role. The fourth film, which is yet to be announced, is a pure commercial
entertainer. It is produced by 50 dancers who have pooled out Rs 1 lakh
each.”
Richard’s sister is Shalini a successful child artiste who turned into a popular actress in Tamil and Malayalam. Later on she gave up her career after marriage to ultimate star
Ajith. “Though Ajith is my brother in law, I have never tried to cash in on this. I have made my own decisions and career
moves. Later on maybe when I stand on my own feet I will co star with him” says a confident Richard. He groomed himself by learning martial arts, dancing and other crafts to equip him for a career in films. He feels that only versatility in acting can take him to the top slot and his priority is to do
subjects, which offer him challenging roles.
