Source IndiaGlitz
After hectic discussions last week, the Tamil Film
Distributors Association has given the green signal to
release Ajith's Paramasivan ahead of Godfather that was
also set for release this Pongal.
It may be recalled that Godfather went to floors almost
an year ago and due to various reasons had a delay in
completion.
Meanwhile, Ajith's Paramasivan directed by P Vasu went
to floors a couple of months and was competed in a huff.
When there was a dilemma in releasing which movie first,
the Tamil Film Distributors Association had a detailed
discussion with producers of Godfather and Paramasivan
and was it agreed to allow Paramasivan to have an early
release for Godfather needed a few more days of for its
completion.
Hopefully Godfather might release this March.
‘Godfather’ goes to panchayat! - 05 Dec 2005
Source Cinesouth
The film should have been named Badfather instead of ‘Godfather.’
From the very start, the film has been beset with
problems. Every time there was need for finance, the
producer Chakravarthy did the disappearing act,
vanishing without a word.
Since ‘Godfather’ was not happening most of the time,
Ajit grew his hair long for ‘Naan Kadavul.’ That was it.
Chakravarthy appealed to the Producers Council and put a
ban on Ajit changing his getup. To add to that, Ajith
had to be ready to don the makeup every time
Chakravarthy turned up with the finance. To avoid
unpleasantness, Ajit agreed, because all he wanted was
to be done with the film.
The shooting of ‘Paramasivan’ went on at super speed and
even got completed. P Vasu and Ajith decided to release
the film for Pongal. Immediately, Chakravarthy got on
his high horse and declared, “‘Godfather’ is ready for a
Pongal release. Moreover, it was started before ‘Paramasivan.’
So, the release of ‘Paramasivan’ has to be postponed.”
He knocked on the doors of the Distributors Association
with a petition.
A panchayat followed this at AVM Studios. The
participants included chief of Distributors Association
Arulpathy, Secretary Kalaipuli G Sekaran, Chakravarthy,
‘Godfather’ director K S Ravikumar and ‘Paramasivan’
director P Vasu.
The panchayat decided in favor of ‘Paramasivan’ to be
released for Pongal and ‘Godfather’ to be released on
February 14! It is fortunate that an amicable solution
has been found for this problem.
This is good news for Tamil cinema.
Perarasu crafts Ajith’s image for Tirupathi
- 05 Dec

Perarasu gave Vijay a larger-than-life image in Sivakasi
especially with the punch dialogues a la superstar
Rajini. In fact, the entire film was a glorification of
the hero’s qualities.
Similarly, Perarasu wants to give Ajith’s fans a similar
treat. Hence, he is crafting the character so as to give
it a macho touch. There will be plenty of action,
sentiment and comedy. Besides, he is also writing the
lyrics and so the songs will also sing the glory of the
hero. Well, well, Ajith’s fans will surely be excited.
