Ajith has completed the shooting for Godfather directed by K S Ravikumar.
Meanwhile, the actor's camp is enthused with him getting the chance to do a movie for the famed AVM Production house.
The movie titled Thirupathi to be directed by Perarasu is slated to go to the floors this November.
Desperate after a string of failures and the delay in completing Godfather, Tirupathi has come as a ray of hope for Ajith.
The actor is ready and raring to begin Tirupathi. He is confident to make the movie count and re-establish his supremacy in Tamil filmdom.
The fact that all areas being sold out even before the movie could hit the floors has given more energy to the actor.
Meanwhile,Ajith had reduced 18 kilos in 55 days by taking only liquid diet and some vegetables for the last few months.

Ajith is currently busy with *Godfather* under
K.S. Ravikumar's direction. Shooting for the film is on in full swing in
Hyderabad's Ramoji Film city.Scenes with Ajith, Santhanabarathi and Sujatha
are being filmed here. After winding up this film, Ajith will start work on
*Tirupathi* under the AVM banner. Meanwhile, we also have reliable news that
Bala's project with Ajith, *Naan kadavul* has been shelved for now.

There is a huge sympathy wave sweeping in favour of Ajit. Everyone in the industry and trade wants him to stage a comeback as they feel that his films still have the potential to become hits. Added to that, producers and the trade want an alternative to Vijay and
Vikram domination.
Irrespective of the fate of Godfather at the box-office Ajit has plenty of offers coming his way. The going is so good that top producers like AVM are willing to pay him his old salary (Rs 2.5 Crore) and is not bothered about his past flops!
Ajit is also rumoured to be a thorough professional as he agreed for Perarasu, a Vijay favourite to direct his new film titled Tirupati for AVM. And he had no problem in calling up Vijay and saying a "Thank You" for the title which was registered by Vijay's home
production.
Ajit will start Tirupati in September as it is due for release on April 14, 2006. Among the distributors Tirupati is turning out to be hot as all areas have been sold out!
