AVM ropes in Ajith 06/08/2005
By The Hindu
CHENNAI: Ajith plays the lead role in AVM's 167th film,
which is yet to be titled. The man wielding the
megaphone will be Perarasu (the man behind the success
of `Thiruppaachi').
It is the 60th year for AVM, and the men behind the
movie house, M. Saravanan and his son M.S. Guhan, have
been concentrating on the small screen for over a year
now ever since the release of `Perazhagan'.
Bharadhwaj is the music director and Thota Tharani is in
charge of the art department for the movie slated for
release on Tamil New Year day, 2006.
At a photo session for the movie on Thursday, Saravanan
said that in today's life, cinema played a vital part. "My
main aim is to make the people happy through the small
or the big screen. After more than a year we are
entering film production and this time it is going to be
a Ajith-Perarasu combination... we hope this first time
combination will be a hit. The other artistes will be
finalised soon."
For Ajith, who completes 13 years in the film industry
this month, it is another important assignment, as he
himself admits. "I feel as if this is my first film as I
am going to perform in an AVM movie... " he says.
Ajit signs AVM film! 06/08/2005

Happy days are here again for Ajit, as he has signed for
AVM's 2006 Tamil New Year (April 14) release. This film
will be directed by hot and happening action sentiment
specialist Perarasu, who has just completed Vijay's
Sivakasi.
A low profile Ajit is now a favourite with established
production houses and the AVM film is a feather on his
cap. It's good to know that Ajit has become a
professional and is now very keen to do films with top
banners and reputed directors.
It is a far cry from his Nic Arts Chakravarthy days,
when he used to do films only with him. Ajit's Bala film
Naan Kadavul has been temporarily put on the hold, as
Bala is searching for a good producer to back the
project.

Ajith is looking fresh and fine. He has every reason to
feel so. The beleaguered actor has been announced
officially by AVM to play the hero in its next film.
A director who is from his archrival Vijay's camp---
Perararusu who directed Vijay in Thirupachi and who is
directing him in Sivakasi, will direct Ajith.
Produced by AVM Saravanan and M S Guhan on behalf of AVM
Productions which is
celebrating its 60th year of existence, will have
musical score by Bharadwaj.
S Saravanan will handle cinematography, editing by
Antony and stunts by Super Subbarayan.
According to AVM Saravanan, the movie will have a unique
theme and will attract family audience.
It goes to floor this December and will be released on
14 April 2006. The rest of the cast has not been
finalized.
