At present, the films 'Chandramuki' and 'Mumbai Express' are on top in trade. Here is a report of small survey, about the films, which follow these top two films.
The Kovai area is the price catch for all the distributors. Since there is huge fan follow, the asking late and also the gain are two fold than other areas. The negotiation for this area would start as soon as the pooja of the film was conducted.
Among younger heroes, 'Jeyam' Ravi has very good response among the fans. After his film 'M.Kumaran S/o. Mahalakshmi', his rating had increased many folds in all the centers. His next film 'Mazhai' is a remake film from the Telugu film 'Varsham'. Shriya is his lead pair
in this film. The negotiation are going on for the Kovai area, the amount mentioned is 90 lakhs. At the end of the negotiations, they say it would be between 80 lakhs and very Big One Note.
The film 'Anniyan', a Vikram starrer, and directed by Shankar, has got 2 ½ crores for the rights of Kovai area. When the release date gets nearer, this film may be sold, for a higher rate, on the sidelines, just as black ticket or Oscar films may decide to release the film by themselves.
Apart from these films, Thanu's 'Thotti Jeya', Balu Mahendra's 'Adhu Oru Kanakkalam' and Surya's 'Gajini' have created stiff competition among the distributors. There is a rumor that, the film, 'God father', had gone to the hands of R.B.Choudhri of 'Super Good films' from 'Nick Arts'. Because of this, the expectation for the film 'God father' is decreased now. If suppose, the film gets completed, without further hurdles the film, 'God father' may come forward to the front line.

Lingusamy, the director of the film 'G' spits fire when anybody ask about the film. "I got struck with a 'Butcher like' producer". He charges the producer Chakravarthy directly thus.
"The only consolation I have is, 'I am responsible for all the things in the film'. Either Ajith or the producer didn't intervene with my work. But I am not responsible for the delay of the film. I didn't do anything except the work of 'G' for the last two years" says Lingusamy.
Though there is no response for this sacrifice of Lingusamy from Ajith's fans, he is being appreciated by a VIP. That VIP is none other than Trisha.
"Tharani and Lingusamy both are very talented directors. They have the intelligence to identity the talent from the people and use them effectively. I am very happy about the fact that, all are appreciating my performance in 'G'
says Trisha.
