Actor Ajith has every reason to be happy these days.
For his Ji directed by Lingusamy released last week has
witnessed a fantastic opening all over the State. The
movie is running to packed houses in all theatres where
it has been released.
The movie has done a lot of good for Ajith for the fact
that his last few films had taken a beating at the box
office. Heaving a sigh of relief, Ajith says, "I believe
that Ji is a film in which I have given my best
performance. Not just my histrionics rather my diction
of the dialogues and body language were better".
"I have been receiving a positive response from the
audience and I hope the movie would sustain the
fantastic opening that it had seen so far."
My last Attagasam was a commercial movie and had Ji been
released before Attagasam, the response could have been
much better", says Ajith, who is known to speak straight
from his heart.
On his future aspirations, Ajith says, "I want to cover
all sections of the audience and give them value for
their money. I have been repeatedly saying that I would
emerge a superstar. More than me, the producers and
directors who do movies with me should also feel that I
have every quality to become a superstar.Success can be
achieved only by teamwork".
On his Go Green campaign, Ajith says, "I should do
something for the earth in which I live. It's my small
contribution towards the society. I am happy that my
fans are following suit now. However Go Green cannot be
successful overnight. It would take at least 15 years
for me to accomplish my vision".
On whether he would like to enter politics, he says "though
I have played a student taking a plunge into politics in
Ji, it cannot be achieved in real life. Cinema is a
medium of exaggeration narrated to get the attention of
the audience".
On his next project, he says, "after God Father, I am
doing a movie for director Bala." It is all a hard work.
But for now he can afford to smile.

Asin was the heroine of Ajith's new Tamil film `Mirattal'.
But Ajith suddenly announced that he wasn't interested
in completing the film.
Instead, he became busy with director KS Ravikumar's new
film `Godfather'. After all those rumors, Ajith is back
to complete working in `Mirattal'.
The film `Godfather' starts with a duet song between the
hero and Asin. "I have three roles in `Godfather'. The
film is growing fast because everything was well-planned
and there are no delays," Ajith, the film's hero said.
Regarding the delay of his previous film with director
Murugadas, he said, "The film was delayed because they
weren't able to start it on time. Now, they are blaming
me for it." He also denied rumors that his relationship
with the director had turned sour.
Lingusamy Defends his Film 'G' – 19/02/2005

Director Lingusamy had given answers to the over all
criticism of his film 'G'. These answers can be
described as the effort of a person denying that, though
he fell face down, there is no dust in his mustache.
Lingusamy had invited the media people all of a sudden.
Everybody had thought that he was going to make
announcement about his next film.
But he talked about his latest film 'G', which is
struggling to stay in one theatre for a few days.
There has been misinformation campaign let loose against
the film 'G'. They are not true. There may be few errors
in the second part of the film.
Though I had directed the film, I didn't see the film
after it got finished completely. So I went to a theatre
to see the film by myself. Then only I have realized
that there are few errors in the
second half of the movie. So, I had removed those scenes
from the film. After this, the film had come out good.
But there are few people, deliberately spreading false
informations about the film.
Nobody should believe these things. Then the media
persons asked him few questions.
"Ajith's fans were seen shouting at the theatres blaming
the director for not utilizing the talents of Ajith
properly." When a journalist asked him about this, he
answered that, "I wanted to show Ajith in a different
way that was why I had directed the scenes related to
him like that. If I had shown heroism unnecessarily, it
would not have looked normal. That is why I had done
like that".
