Ask anyone in the film industry, they would immediately
say the most difficult job on earth is producing movies.
However, in the recent past, a couple of producers are
producing more than a couple of movies simultaneously
and quite interestingly involving seasoned artistes in a
grand manner.
Krishnakanth of Indian Theatres is producing Solli
Adipeen starring Vivek and Cheran's Thavamai
Thavamirindhu, while Kalaipuli S Thanu is busy with his
Sachin and Thotti Jaya.
However leading the race is Salem Chandrasekhar, who
made his debut as producer with Dhanush starrer Sullan.
Chandrasekhar is currently producing Surya starrer
Ghajini and Bharath starrer February.
Even before these movies could release, he is slated to
begin his next that would star Ajith in the lead role
being directed by Bala.
He is also slated to produce a movie with Dhanush
playing the hero which would be directed by Thiruda
Thirudi fame Subramaniam Siva.

Ajith has bounced back with Attagasam and Ji. With Ji
receiving bumper opening, Ajith met the media persons
and shared his views and future moves.
“I have done a totally a different role that of a
college student in Ji, through which I look forward to
different segment of fans for me. As an actor, the film
has given me immense satisfaction”. Does he encourage
students to come to politics as projected in Ji? “No!”
says Ajith. He further adds, “Cinema is an entertainment
media. It’s a dream industry. Things are exaggerated in
films. Do not take it so seriously that you follow them
in real life”.
Ajith feels that Ji should have released before
Attagasam which was a totally commercial film meant for
B and C centres. He added, “But Ji has a class and I
have been receiving good reviews about it so far”.
When asked about his future film he said, there is only
director Ravikumar’s Godfather on the floors, which will
be his last film for NIC Arts. He said that will be
doing a film for director Bala and Selvaraghavan and the
producers are yet to be finalized.
Can we expect a get-up change in his forthcoming films?
“May be in Bala sir’s film”, replies the actor.
He concluded that his aim is to become the ‘Super Star’
(the number one) in Tamil and that he will constantly
strive to achieve that.
