When 'Jakkubhai was unceremoniously dropped, KS
Ravikumar switched to 'Godfather'. He had just completed
shooting Ajith and Asin for the 'Kaatril oru vaarthai'
song and was getting ready for his next schedule. We
spoke to him during the break.
Who is 'Godfather'?
The protector, the rescuer. In short, he is the
Godfather. He rescues people in distress. These are some
of his virtues. The film also has all the usual
entertainment aspects like romance, sentiments, comedy
and action. Ajith has done very well in all the aspects.
This is your second film with Ajith after 'Villain'. How
is the film turning out to be?
Ajith is a handsome action hero. He suits all types of
roles. This is going to be an active and successful
team.
Tell us about his three roles in the film.
All three are different from each other. Ajith played
dual role in 'Villain'. This time he plays three roles,
but they are not going to be like 'Villain' ones. All
three are completely apart. I'm not going to tell you
anything more right now.
We heard rumors that he plays the role of an old man and
that of a transgender person.
I'm neither confirming nor denying it. Wait and watch.
Asin?
She's a fine actress. She acts very well too. She had
won the Nandi Award in Telugu. She acts very well in
comedy scenes too!

Finally Lingusamy directed Ji has been censored and
cleared with a U/A certificate, with some minor cuts.
This Ajith-Trisha starrer is now ready for release on
Feb 11 if producer SS Chakravarthy is able to settle his
financial liabilities concerning the film. The trade has
given him one last chance as they feel Ji will take a
bumper opening if it is released on the Valentine
weekend, as there will be no competition.
And if the film is further delayed, theatres will prefer
Vijay’s special appearance film Sukran which releases on
Feb 18. So Ajith’s well-wishers are hoping that JI,?I.
will make it to the theatres this weekend.

Ajith starrer Ji is set to hit the screen in the
Valentine's week. It is directed by Lingusamy who gave
Anandam and Run and his latest offering also carries
positive reports. The film deals with college life and
the story of a student leader who fights back at the
machinations of political leaders. Trisha plays his love
interest. Music by Vidyasagar is already a chart topper.
Lingusamy is known for neat, entertaining movies and Ji
we hope will continue the trend
