After lying low for almost a year, Ajith's camp has
gained momentum following the decent run of his
Attagasam.
Ji is ready for release while Godfather starring being
directed by K S Ravikumar is proceeding at a brisk pace.
A happy Ajith is now making a whirlwind tour across the
State meeting his fans to infuse fresh blood in them.
On Wednesday the actor was at Thiruvannamalai.
Speaking there, the actor exhorted his fans to plant
over a lakh plants this year in various parts of the
State as part of their efforts to preserve the
environment.
He had earlier called on his fans at Chennai,
Thiruvallur before reaching Thiruvannamalai.
Ajith has taken up the cause of greening the cities in
Tamilnadu.
As it happened, he has acted in a film named Red.
So we can say, Red is on a green mission.

Ajith fans are eagerly expecting Lingusamy's Ji to get
released this January but the dates are not yet
confirmed. Some of the theatres at Madurai say that it
would be released along with Ameer's Ram on January 26th
or on Febraury 4th. Lingusamy in an interview with KTV
has said the the movie would be a super hit and satisfy
the fans of the Ultimate Star.
After the release of Ji, Lingusamy is to direct a movie
with Vishal of 'Chellamaey' fame. Lingusamy also plays
an important character in the movie. This movie is to be
released in Tamil and Telugu at the same time. Lingusamy
has dreams of acting as the hero of another movie which
he would direct. This dream is a result of Cheran's
Autograph and S.J.Surya's New!

Saligramam is where Vijay fan clubs' head office is
situated at. Ajith is going to start a new fan club in
the vicinity.
After launching the new office a few weeks ago, Ajith
had gone to Thiruvannamalai to offer his prayers. This
sure is a sign that Ajith is taking his film career very
seriously. As a first step, he is reviving all his fan
clubs. He is going to meet with his fans every week. He
plans to visit each district office every month.
He began his new assignment with the Thiruvannamalai
district fan club meeting. A grand function was held at
Dheenatur NS Chittira Mahal. Ajith had arrived at
Thiruvannamalai the night before. He offered his prayers
at the temple and performed the 'girivalam'. Since it
was a secret, he was not pestered by his fans.
After completing his girivalam at 5.30 Am, he went
straight to Arunachaleshwarar temple. Prayers were
offered and he returned to his hotel room. From 8.00 am,
he began discussing with his fan club office bearers on
various issues like the club activities and future
plans.
He spoke to the press at the temple. He said, "Tamil
cine industry is proud of Vikram for winning the
National Award for best actor." He is ready to pick up
fights with Ramdoss and Thirumavalavan over the issue of
naming films in English.
'Ji' is a Hindi word and his new film 'Godfather' is an
English word. Would he change the names?
"No comments" was his answer.
