It is the hottest report on the circuit.
And it is that Surya-Jyothika starrer Mayavi being
produced by Bala has reportedly been shelved. The reasons are known
only to the cast and the crew. But none of them is ready to talk.
Though one birdie chirped that money aspect could be one of the
problems.
Another source pointed out that the protagonists have
got better offers elsewhere and hence have decided to concentrate
there.
Surya has gone to shoot for Miratal, Jyothika for
Chandramukhi and Bala is busy with preparing script for the Ajith
starrer Naan Kadavul.
So Mayavi waits in the limbo.

Vijay has again inserted "punch" dialogues in
Thirupaachi mocking
Ajith!
He has been doing this right from Badhri(April 2001) in
which there
was a dialogue "Evanda un thalai? Vaaloda serthu
vettiduven!". Only
four months earlier Dheena(January 2001) was released in
which
Ajith's character was called Thalai.
I think he has started panicking. Ji director Lingusamy
has already
given two blockbusters but Thirupaachi director Perarasu
is a
unproven untested newcomer. So this is his cheap gimmick
to win.

Ajith, who had starred in hit films like 'Vaali' and 'Citizen'
and who is married to Shalini, is now going to star in his
new film as
a transgender person.
Ajith and Nic Arts Chakravarthy were close friends.
But in recent past, the two had lot of misunderstandings and they
decided to
part ways. It now looks as if the two have resolved their
disputes and have got together to make a new film.
'Godfather' is the name of the film. Shalini was
planning to
produce it under her own name. The film stars Ajith in three
roles. One of the roles is that of a transgender person. This will
be the first time that a Tamil hero is going to play the role of a
transgender person. Asin is going to be the heroine of the film.
AR Rehman is composing music for the film.

Ajith renamed his fan clubs ('Rasigar Mandram') as
service socities ('Natpani Iyakkam'). Speaking to his
fans, Ajith said that he was not making any plans to
enter politics. He insisted his fans should refrain from
performing 'Paal Abhishegam' to his cutouts. He wanted
them to celebrate the release of his film by planting
saplings, propagating the various schemes of the Govt
like rainwater harvesting , segregation of garbage etc.
Now AVM has signed Ajit for a mega budget film .Ji is
scheduled for Pongal while Godfather is for April
release.
