Ajith had an interesting and unforgettable experience
while shooting for his film `Attagasam', where he plays
a dual role - that of a driving school trainer, and a
rowdy. Director Saran's 3-year-old son had come to
witness the shooting. The moppet was introduced to Ajith
in his `dada' get-up, and later in his trainer get-up.
Then, when some shots were being taken on the `dada',
the boy started pestering Saran, to bring in the other
Ajith too. All Saran's explanations to the boy failed,
naturally he being too small to understand the dual-role
matter. Everyone around was highly amused!

Ajith had refused to act in three movies earlier. They were Nandha, Friends
and Nerukku Ner.
Ultimately these roles went to Surya and he eventually became popular acting
those characters. Surya, in fact, has usurped Ajith's place among the
public. He is now among the top three Tamil actors while Ajith is looking
for a major comeback.
Now, history seems to be repeating itself.
Ajith, who was supposed to play the lead in Mirattal has decided to back out
at the last moment.
Director Murugadoss has approached Surya and he has accepted the offer
delightfully.
Surya in fact cannot hide his happiness.
He says: "I am surprised that whenever I take up a role rejected by Ajith,
it turns out to be a successful one for me. When Murugadoss narrated the
story to me, I was impressed and decided to give it the best".
