'Aanjaneya' Leaps 80 Laks!

By Cinesouth       10/20/03

To ride on a camel's back -means- to gain from others cost.

And this is an evergreen syndrome prevailing in all the woods of Indian films Industry.

Buying of remake rights for a film that has become a hit is always a race for filmmakers and directors. It's also an apt opportunity for Tamil Directors to gain entry in other Language film industry in the event of remake of Tamil films.

'Aanjaneya' Director Maharajan has already gained his credits for his remake works for 'Vallarasu' in Telugu. 'Vallarusu's Telugu remake had its results at par with it's original Tamil version. Director Maharajan is also renowned in National level, he is an added benefited for 'Aanjaneya's efforts.

Telugu Cine star Dr. Raja Sekar is known for most of his films to be remakes of hit films in Tamil. He was the first to buy the remake rights for 'Aanjaneya', the moment he heard about its story and screenplay. And bargained to a tune of Rs. 80 Lakhs. He was supposed to be the first person to buy remake rights for the film 'Ramanaa' But Telugu mega star Chiranjeevi was much faster to win remake rights and become once again the man of more masses, this made Rajashekar to keep his senses much sharper and it resulted in 'Aanjaneya's rights acquired by doctor turned actor.

Early bird gets the worm while latecomers are made to late.
