Lawyer notice for Ajith's film - 26.09.2005

The title was meant for a Vijay film. On director
Perarasu's request for the title to be used for an Ajith
film, Vijay's group graciously let them take the title.
We are talking about the film title 'Thirupati.' Now an
impediment has cropped up.
It is usual for film makers to register their names
before hand. It is the rule that another film maker
cannot make a film using a title that has been
registered by another. If that has to be surmounted, one
can discuss with the person who has already registered
the title, exchange the needful and get the title
transferred. If this does not work out, some change the
title of their film. And some use their desired title
and add on a little extra that is hardly visible to the
eye.
For example, the title 'Arasu' had already been
registered. A clever producer used the title 'Arasu' in
huge letters and added the tiny Darbar next to it.
Wait, we started talking about Thirupati and landed up
at Palani instead. When Vijay's group gave away the 'Thirupati'
title, a producer called Suresh is claiming the title is
his.
He has sent a lawyer's notice saying he has registered
the same title.
Thirupati will bring a turning point...Perarasu is
indeed a man of vision!

After 'Dil' made a real 'Dhool' the two are joining
forces again. The producer is again A M Rathnam.
After "Maja,' Vikram was to act in a Telugu film
directed by Gunasekaran who directed 'Okadu,' the
original version of 'Gilli.'
Suddenly, the 'Okadu' hero Mahesh Babu called up
Gunasekaran and gave his call sheet. The Telugu heroes
could not cope with the success of the Tamil film 'Anniyan.'
If Vikram acts in a Telugu film, that would spell
disaster for the Telugu heroes and that's why Mahesh
Babu is trying to get Gunasekar on his side, say
observers.
After 'Gilli,' Dharani has been making Telugu film 'Bangaram'
with Pavan Kalyan, and the film is nearly complete. 'Maja'
is also nearly complete. Since this seems to be a good
time, the two friends decided to join hands in a new
project. Produced by A M Rathnam, the title of the film
is 'Nanguneri.' This is the name of a town in south
Tamilnadu. It seems there's a town of the same name in
Andhra too.
The Kodambakkam comedians say the story of the issues
there have been adapted to suit the Tamil film. Whatever
be the story, one thing is for sure. With Dharani and
Vikram, the film is sure to be a winner!

One single event can change a person's life totally. In
the case of Sada, it is one single film.
'Anniyan has brought sea change in my career', says Sada.
The actress who is slated to act alongside Ajith in
AVM's Tirupathi, says, 'before Anniyan, I was keen on
listening to good scripts and then accept offers. Post
Anniyan, I look carefully on the star cast, the director
and the production house'.
In the event, she never asked the story for Tirupathi. 'When
AVM approached me with the offer, I immediately grabbed
it', she says.
'After my Jeyam in Telugu, producers and directors gave
me similar roles in Tollywood. Only after Anniyan, they
have opened up and I am getting more trendy and ultra
modern roles to play there, she adds.
She knows whom to thank in this hour of happiness for
her.
It is director Shankar who has made this possible
