Ajith's film on Deepavali only!   Its going to be 'Anjaneya'.

From Cinesouth            06/02/03

Ajith's fans will have to wait a full year to see their dude.

Ajith is working on two films right now- 'Mahaa' and 'Janaa'. He is now working for a film with director Maharaja (of 'Vallarasu' fame). The film is called 'Anjaneya'.

Jeeva is the cinematographer of 'Mahaa'. This is his next film after 'Run'. But, the moment he noticed that the film is limping badly, he had left to make the Hindi version of 'Run' with Abhishek Bachchan and Bhoomika.

'Janaa' is showing no signs of life either. Ajith decided to start 'Anjaneya' with his friend and producer Chakravarthy of Nic Arts. He is also the one who is producing 'Mahaa'.

'Anjaneya' is due for Deepavali this year. His fans will have to wait until then.

Bajangwali Ki Jai!
By Moviebuzz  05/21/03

For the last seven months Ajith was seen more on the racetracks or home than on shooting locations. The actor has just won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor in Tamil for his performance in Villain released for Diwali (November 2002).

Ajith is totally confused about his career and priorities. He started three films, Shaji Kailas’ Jana, Ravi’s Maha and an untitled film for Nic Arts Chakravarthy. For some strange reason he has abandoned two of these projects and has only one live project Jana which will be released soon! The film that was slated for release on May 1 (for his birthday) is getting further delayed, as he refuses to compromise on his salary.

Ajith is unsure about what his on-screen image should be - an action hero or a lover boy? All his directors except Shaji Kailas were debutants who were either assistants to some stunt master or scriptwriter. And now the latest we hear is that his favourite producer Nic Arts Chakravarthy has started the shoot of a film titled Anjaneya in Kuttalam, with director Maharajan who had made films with Sunny Deol and Vijaykanth. The film will project him in a larger-than-life role. Meera Jasmine will be his heroine.

However the buzz is that the probabilities of Jana hitting the theatres is bleak as Ajith does not see eye to eye with Shaji Kailas and producer Kaja Moideen. The trade feels that unless he mends his ways and work on a film at a time and finish the projects on time, his career will suffer.
