The film ‘Attagasam’ was produced in a fast paced manner. Expenditure was
also moderate. Even than, there were problems before it got released.
The producer of this film Karthikeyan didn’t settle the agreed amount to
anybody from art director to Ajith. Even though he happened to be a close
friend of Ajith, and waited patiently for 2 ½ years to produce a film with
Ajith.
“I had waited many years to do a film with Ajith. Because of this I didn’t
attempted to do any other films. I have some personal problems. That is why
I was not able to keep my promise in money matters. But I didn’t do this
purposefully”, thus explains Karthikeyan.
‘Attagasam’ was released due to intervention of Ajith and Saran. When the
producer came to the press show, the technicians surrounded him to demand
the settlement of their dues. Ajith and Saran made peace then. After these
problems Ajith had decided not to act in the movie produced by Karthikeyan
in future. But Karthikeyan is optimistic, he says “It is true that there is
some problem between myself and Ajith. But everything will become all right
after some time. I will do another film with Ajith.
Considering the fact that, there are many persons who parted ways with Ajith
had come back and had worked with him again. The list of those people is
rather lengthy. Bala, Saran, A.M.Rathnam, Chakravarthy to name of a few.
Karthikeyan is the latest addition in this list. But what Karthikeyan says
may be true. Because Ajith has that ‘Kind’ of heart.

A total of five films graced this theatres this Deepavali.
Thanks to the State government for doing away with pirated VCDs and the fact
that all five films stars being popular actors, there has been a good
collection at all the theaters where these movies were screened.
The festive day followed by a weekend and Ramzan has meant a huge queue in
all theatres. In spite of showers, people have thronged the cinema halls.
Though all the movies have been doing a good-business, the real contest at
the box-office seems to be between Ajith's comeback film Attagasam and
Silambarasan's Manmadhan.
Both the films have opened to maximum number of theatres in the State.
The two movies are expected to send the cash registers ringing in the coming
days. Ajith in Attgasam looks cool and confident and may emerge as the
number one in the race.
Following these two would be Sarath Kumar's Chatrapathy while Vijayakanth's
Neranja Manasu, though had a fantastic opening, has very little prospects of
continuing the good flow.
Last in race would be Dhanush's Dreams, which is about adolescent love
story. Unlike other Dhanush's ventures, Dreams has not had a good opening.
As of this opening week, it's between Attagasam and Manmadhan.
