Surya has replaced Ajith in A.R.Murugadoss' Mirattal! A few months back
Ajith had announced this film and also done a photo-shoot with heroine Asin.
The producer was Nic Arts Chakravarthy but as usual Ajith lost interest in
the project and Murugadoss was left high and dry.
Murugadoss has a good track record in Ramana with Vijaykanth that was a
super hit, which was later remade into Telugu with Chiranjeevi as Tagore.
Since then the director was busy with the script of Mirattal for which
Vikram was initially approached.
Then Ajith was roped in but when the actor backtracked, Murugadoss tried to
convince Madhavan but they were not able to come into a financial agreement.
But now the big news is that Surya is the hero in Mirattal. When Surya heard
the story he readily agreed for this action film and agreed to give dates by
December after he completes Mayavi.
Salem Chandrasekhar, the producer of Sullan and a film financier has now
taken over the project which would be Surya's 2005 summer
release.

For those who had seen the convergence of three seas, would have experienced
the turbulence of the sea. Same kind of turbulence is going to be witnessed
on April14th- in Tamil film world
Rajini's 'Chandramukhi' is going to be released on Tamil New year Day.
Normally if Rajini film gets released, other 'smaller' films will steer
clear of that day. Shankar had planned to release his film 'Anniyan' in the
same day. "Even if the film is by Rajini, it may run to full shows, only if
the film is any good," was proved by the 'flop' of 'Baba'.
Inspite of this proven fact, Kollywood is not yet ridden of 'Rajini' factor.
So the producers of 'Anniyan' are hesitating to clash with Rajini's 'Chandramukhi'.
At the same time, K.S.Ravikumar, had vowed that he would complete his new
movie, starring Ajith, and will release it on April 14th only, come what may!
The same date happened to be the 'decided date' of 'Jaggubai' if it had been
produced as planned.
Ajith, who has been dreaming and claiming to become the next Super star, is
just overjoyed about this. He wanted to test his own 'position' in the film
world by clashing with the reigning 'Super star'. His 'wait' has ended.
All said and done, the real treat awaits the cine lovers, on April-14th. One
may even miss the Hilly star, which shows it self once in 100 years. But
nobody should miss this interesting 'star war'.
