Ajith Is Back

   When the number one director in Malayalam Shaji Kailas, the man who gave Mohanlal the larger than life image met our own Ajith and narrated a story to him, the superstar was bowled over. Ajit has given priority dates to him and the film will be titled Thiruda which will be produced by Kaja Moideen of Roja Combines.

   According to Shaji Kailas Ajith is a talented star and with Thiruda he will go places. It is going to be a unique role that will give the actor enough scope for action and comedy". Shaji refused to divulge any further information on the movie. Ajith the ‘dada’ of Dheena, Citizen and Red has lost weight and is going for a total image change with Thiruda. Ajith’s heroine will be Trisha the new sensation and former beauty queen of Chennai.

Director as hero
Director S.J. Surya has to his credit two successful films. The Ajith-Simran starrer 'Vaali', and the Vijay-Jyotika movie 'Khushi'. When he began his third film 'New" about a year back, with Ajith as the hero, Ajith asked him to produce the film himself. But then Surya got this idea of launching himself as a hero, got Ajith's consent, and began preparing his script. His foray into the Telugu field to remake 'Khushi' took his time. Now S. J. Surya is all set to begin the shooting of his film. While he plays the hero, Simran plays his romantic interest in the film. While Khushboo, Nasser, Vivek, Aishwarya, and Cochin Haneefa have also been roped in, Ajith makes a friendly appearance in the film. The movie produced by Surya for his new banner Annai Mary Matha Creations has A.R. Rehman scoring the tunes. Cinematography is by K.V. Guhan and editing by V.T. Vijayan. Surya has planned to shoot his five songs in the U.S.
